Writers:

Lindsay Grohs - Lindsay is a student at the University of Central Florida. She's currently studying hospitality. Hospitality, and more specifically, the food and beverage industry, has been Lindsay's passion for years. There's nothing she loves more than the buzz of a restaurant during a busy Sunday brunch, the first bite you take of a new dish you created, and the memories you create going for ice cream with friends in the summer. Her goal in writing for this magazine is to bring these things to life and share her experiences with you.

Lauren Graham - Lauren is a young writer and an aspiring visual artist living just outside of Atlanta, Georgia. She’s a college student who is passionate about all things food, art, travel, and writing. You can find some of her work on her blog, “Muse With Me.” When she’s not trying adventurous recipes, you can find her dancing, spending time in nature, or drawing. Her goal in writing for “Piece of Cake Magazine” is to share all sorts of fun and flavorful recipes, and clue you in on all the foodie hotspots in ATL and more! â€‹

Ayanna Frankson - Ayanna is a high school student with a deep love for animals, food, and sustainable living. She has experience working in a kennel, volunteering at animal rescues, and helping with farm and garden projects. Passionate about cooking, Ayanna enjoys experimenting in the kitchen and dreams of one day owning a farm and opening a farm-to-table restaurant that brings fresh, homegrown ingredients to the plate.

Awwal Ibrahim - Awwal Ibrahim is a Nigerian writer and medical student who infuses every story with a vibrant, global perspective. His writing captures the warmth of everyday life in West Africa with curiosity about the wider world, creating pieces that feel both culturally textured and universally relatable. He loves exploring the small, overlooked moments—like the familiar comfort of a shared meal, the textures of daily life, the unspoken questions about identity, and turning them into narratives that inspire young readers everywhere. Writing about community, culture, and the human heart, he creates bridges across continents, reminding us that every story, no matter its origin, is part of something universal.

Brendan Gieseke - Brendan Gieseke is a junior who lives in New York City and is an ambitious writer and student. He is an International Baccalaureate student at the United Nations International School and loves to engage himself in activities that relate to finance, business, music production, languages, and international law. He is of half-Japanese descent and uses his culture to enrich his knowledge of food.
