Writers:

Lindsay Grohs - Lindsay is a student at the University of Central Florida. She's currently studying hospitality. Hospitality, and more specifically, the food and beverage industry, has been Lindsay's passion for years. There's nothing she loves more than the buzz of a restaurant during a busy Sunday brunch, the first bite you take of a new dish you created, and the memories you create going for ice cream with friends in the summer. Her goal in writing for this magazine is to bring these things to life and share her experiences with you.

Awwal Ibrahim - Awwal Ibrahim is a Nigerian writer and medical student who infuses every story with a vibrant, global perspective. His writing captures the warmth of everyday life in West Africa with curiosity about the wider world, creating pieces that feel both culturally textured and universally relatable. He loves exploring the small, overlooked moments—like the familiar comfort of a shared meal, the textures of daily life, the unspoken questions about identity, and turning them into narratives that inspire young readers everywhere. Writing about community, culture, and the human heart, he creates bridges across continents, reminding us that every story, no matter its origin, is part of something universal.

Brendan Gieseke - Brendan Gieseke is a junior who lives in New York City and is an ambitious writer and student. He is an International Baccalaureate student at the United Nations International School and loves to engage himself in activities that relate to finance, business, music production, languages, and international law. He is of half-Japanese descent and uses his culture to enrich his knowledge of food.

Indy Patschke - Indy is a college student based in Towson, Maryland. She is excited to write about local hot spots and small businesses in her area, and those she discovers while traveling. Indy is also an experienced baker and is excited to share her recipes. Indy's goals for the future include moving to Charleston, SC, becoming a book cover designer, and possibly becoming a mystery writer one day.

Sara Spangler - Sara Spangler (she/they) is a sophomore English major at Smith College with a deep passion for all things food! She loves to cook and bake, and works as a kitchen manager at their school's religious center. One of her favorite things is cooking for other people, as there is truly nothing like feeding the people she loves. Sara is excited to share her own recipes and thoughts on the impact of food on our culture and world, as well as highlight some favorite local spots in Northampton, MA.
