If you’re looking for fare for your table, I’m sharing this delicious apple recipe for you to try out for yourself! This recipe includes clove, which is used in pumpkin spice (including my favorite Starbucks drink, pumpkin spiced), and naturally pumpkin pie. I’d love to go apple picking and use the apples for this recipe!
Full Recipe:
Prep Time: 7 minutes
Cook Time: 16 minutes
Serves: 4–6 people
Ingredients:
4 — 6 peeled, chopped Honeycrisp apples
1/2 or 1 cup sugar
2 tablespoon oil
1/2 teaspoon cloves
1 teaspoon salt (optional)
Cinnamon (optional)
Instructions:
Peel the apples, then slice them into 6—8 pieces.
In a medium-to-large frying pan, heat the oil.
Gently pour the apples into a pan, carefully adjusting the temperature so the apples don’t get too brown.
Add cloves, cinnamon, and salt (it resembles snow!) to the pan of apples.
Cover the apples with a lid and cook them for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add sugar to the apples, replace the lid, and cook for 2 minutes.
Remove the lid and stir the apples for a couple of minutes.
Bon Appetit!
