Calling all matcha fans!
Are you looking for an indulgent sweet treat with a vibrant twist? Then this recipe is for you. Not only are these white chocolate matcha cookies delicious, but they are great for any situation. Whether having friends over or simply treating yourself, these cookies have just the right flavor, transforming the original chocolate chip cookie into something extra exciting and delicious. Along with their uniqueness, these cookies are fun and therapeutic to make. And if you aren't a fan of matcha yet, you definitely will be after baking this recipe!
What makes this dessert special is its blend of bold and tasty flavors. Matcha is a fine powdered green tea from Japan with different culinary forms. However, its most popular form is drinking tea, lattes, and more. Matcha possesses a robust, earthy flavor profile that is rich, nutty, and subtly sweet. The taste of matcha is distinctly bitter with umami undertones, making it a perfect pair with creamy white chocolate chips and buttery cookie dough. This delectable combination creates a mouth-watering balance between bitter and sweet. Decadent and bright, these cookies are soft and chewy with a pleasant crunch on the outside. After devouring these cookies, matcha will become your new favorite tea, just like me. Now it's time to get into the ingredients and tools required for the recipe.
