After a long day of school, it's no one's first choice to have to go right into studying. However, sometimes that's the reality. So, to help you focus for a long study session, here's a list of the five most energizing and delicious study snacks. Not only are these snacks great for your mind and body, but they also only take five minutes to make, giving you all the time you need to study for an A+ grade.

Trail Mix

Trail mix is one of my favorite snacks, and it's perfect for when you are studying. It's delicious, easy to make, and completely customizable. Trail mix recipes vary, but they usually contain a mixture of almonds, raisins, chocolates, cashews, dried fruit, and peanuts. Trail mix is excellent for studying because the nuts are rich in healthy fatty acids that help you learn and retain information longer. These fatty acids also support signaling in the brain, which improves your memory. Whether you buy trail mix at a store or create your own, you are sure to be pleased!

Yogurt Parfait

Yogurt is another food packed with energizing proteins and healthy minerals that help your memory. So, when you add yogurt with apples that have a host of health benefits and provide you with sustained energy, you are guaranteed to have a productive studying session. Making a yogurt parfait is incredibly easy. To do so, first, grab a tub of your favorite yogurt. I recommend Greek, strawberry-flavored, or vanilla-flavored. Next, spoon the yogurt into a bowl and add your desired fruits. You can also add granola, honey, or seeds. Overall, a yogurt parfait is a perfect study snack since it's sweet and delicious and provides boosting minerals.

Fruit With Peanut Butter

Fruit and peanut butter are a classic combination! The sweetness of the fruit perfectly balances with the more nutty and savory flavors of peanut butter. Fruit and peanut butter are great when studying, as they have a balanced mix of sugar—which will give you added quick energy—and healthy fats. These fats will help you focus and prevent sugar crashes, making fruit and peanut butter a satisfying snack. To enjoy fruit with peanut butter, simply grab your favorite fruit and a side of peanut butter and dip the fruit in. You can use whatever fruit you like, though I recommend apples, bananas, or strawberries.

Dark Chocolate

There are few things better than chocolate, so you'll be happy to hear that dark chocolate is an excellent study snack. Studies have shown that eating dark chocolate can promote more blood flow and improve your brain function (both memory and focus). So, if you need both a sweet treat and an energy boost, consider eating some dark chocolate. Plus, you'll reap even more benefits if you have some dark chocolate and peanut butter together!

Carrot Sticks and Hummus

Last, but certainly not least, are carrot sticks and hummus. Carrots are known as being one of the healthiest ingredients, and for good reason. Carrots are packed with nutrients, making them beneficial for your mind and body, which is perfect when studying. Plus, hummus has a ton of protein and healthy fats, so it's great for improving your brain function. Overall, this snack is a crunchy delight that will certainly keep your energy high during long study sessions.

From sweet to salty to fruit-based, at least one of the snacks above will curb your hunger and energize you for an evening of studying. Whether you prefer the satisfying crunch of granola, the richness of dark chocolate, or the refreshing taste of sliced fruit, there’s a perfect snack out there. Good luck studying!
